Hudson NY Week 76 – Put Your Trust in the Lord

“O Lord, have trusted in thee, and will trust in thee forever. will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.” -2 Nephi 4

When we trust in the Lord, the Lord will trust in us.
When I learned that sister Allred and I were going to open Hudson together, I was SO excited. I will admit, I did have some stress and fear, but as I looked back to my time to opening Carthage with sister Thomas, and the incredible experiences we had together, my fears and stresses were replaced with faith and peace! I knew it was the Lords mission and I knew I could fully place my trust in Him. My mind raced with images and daydreams of all the people we would meet, things we would learn and work the Lord would accomplish through us! It is our 5th day here and it would take me 25 pages to record even a part of what has happened! We have seen incredible miracles. Our first 3 days we were able to share 18 copies of the Book of Mormon with people in the area, we began teaching 10 new investigators and several other potential investigators and we had one incredible investigator named Deeger attend church with us! The branch is more like a twig. There are about 12 active members that attend, mostly elderly folks and there hasn’t been a baptism there in over 2 years. The church building looks like a toy!!! Smallest church I’ve seen, but it will be a ward very soon! We are praying for a vision of what the Lord needs this area to be and working hard to accomplish that! As we have strived to be exactly obedient and show the Lord we trust in His promises, he trusts us with the most precious, elect souls. It is so miraculous to be a part of their conversion to Christ and to see their nature changed! What an honor and privilege it is to be a full-time missionary in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
When I return to my Heavenly Father, I want Him to say: “Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over few things, will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” – Matthew 25:23
I encourage you to PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD. Be all in, 100% and the Lord will trust you with great responsibilities in teaming with Him to bring eternal life to His spirit children! Although His love is eternal, constant and unchanging, His trust in us is conditional on our obedience. May we ever put our trust in our God, leaning not to our own understanding, through our obedience and He will direct us back to His presence. ‘Gods greater blessings are conditional on obedience.’ Let us always be obedient, even if we don’t understand why. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.  (checkout the link below)
