The Spirit is SO incredible! I know I have been called to “Preach the gospel by the spirit.” It is not sister Redd and I that teach, but rather the spirit. We have seen this many times this week! Sister Redd has always been an incredible example to me of speaking with the Spirit!

As we were tracting the other day,  we met the coolest woman! Marlene. When we knocked on her door, I prayed, as usual, that she would accept this message. As I spoke, it was not my words. It is the coolest experience when the Holy Ghost is able to speak through you!!! I felt strongly to testify that we are here to have joy and that Christ can turn the darkest times into light. We shared 2 Nephi 22-25 and taught a quick restoration tied into the plan of salvation. She is catholic, but really open and was SO honored we gave her a copy of the Book of Mormon. She asked if we could come and share more. Then her son Justin rode up on his bike- this cute 11 year old with a sweet fro. He was so sweet and respectful. His mom hugged him and stooped down, telling him that ‘these girls are here to help us get close to God! They are going to come read the Book of Mormon with us and teach us more. Would you like that?’ And he smiled and nodded his head! Before we left we said a prayer with them, then invited her to pray. She said one of the most genuine prayers I have ever heard. She expressed the deep feelings of her soul and deep gratitude for all God had given her and for the message we shared. She prayed that she could find joy in the trial she was facing and have peace. During the prayer she was just crying and crying. Her son hugged her as tears streamed down her face and she thanked us for coming into her life. It was a very sacred experience and one I will always reflect on! I know that God knows each of the people we meet perfectly. He loves them so and wants their success and happiness! I know the Holy ghost will literally speak through us and touch others hearts.
