I got no time so lets get to it! a few things I learned this week:
Through Christ burdens are made light. Mosiah 24
Through faith, all things are possible.
Hard work reaps joy.
MISSIONS ARE THE BEST THINGS IN THE WORLD AND I REFUSE TO GO HOME NEXT NOVEMBER. YOU CANT MAKE ME.
I have just been thriving in Fayetteville. THRIVING MAN. I love working hard and getting outside my comfort zone and struggling and achy muscles and preaching on the streets and really changing and growing and seeing peoples souls and watching gorgeous sunsets etc.
It almost feels like one of those music videos when the music is peaceful and slow but all these insane images are flashing before your eyes- images of the most incredible things and moments and feelings. That’s a mission. It’s so full of the spirit and rich with experiences. I love walking into our apartment at the end of the day being positively exhausted and brain dead. GOALS.
This week I’d like to challenge you to befriend a stranger.(aka, congratulate your brother or sister on their mortal body and see how their spirit is adjusting to this foreign way of life haha, at least, thats how I see it). Not just saying hello, but really getting to know them. Take a minute and talk to someone at the store or on the street or at the park or in line at the taco truck stand or the person with their window down in traffic next to you. anyone. Ask them what brings them joy in life. What their favorite memory is, if they have a relationship with God, Ask them about their family, their likes, dislikes. Crack a joke, laugh with them. tell them something you admire about them. Ask them for help on a question you’ve been pondering. And just really see them as your brother or sister. We do this ALL DAY EVERYDAY. We talk to almost everyone and get deep fast. We have people cry to us almost everyday. It is very uncomfortable and weird and awkward to just start a conversation with someone passing us in the street, but It always ends up being wonderful- even if they cus us off and tell us to “go back to effin utah” haha! We weren’t very good at talking to folks out and about until this last week. We really tried to improve and God provided us with 14 new investigators from simply talking to people on our way to other appointments! BLESSINGS FROM ABOVE! Be sure to email me about your new friend and totally take a selfie with them and send it to me! I can’t wait to hear back from y’all!
